Case Study 4 -  Management Consulting / Strategy

Merger & Acquisition Candidate Identification for a Large BPO Company

Client Problem: This client was interested in growing the business and wondered what companies they may be able to procure and integrate into their services in order to offer their clients improved pricing. This was a 3-month engagement with one primary deliverable.

What We Did: The President of the organization had hired three summer interns around the time they were interested in researching acquisition candidates. The President hired Antix to lead the project and to teach and mentor the students. We set up meetings with key stakeholders in the various lines of businesses (Managing Directors and their staff) and we discussed their businesses, key suppliers, partnerships and companies of interest. Antix directed the company’s interns to do detailed company research and gave them iterative feedback as we developed a deliverable to present.

Client Results: The final deliverable included a presentation and binder with detailed research on sixteen (16) potential acquisition candidates. The deliverable detailed the potential positive business impacts of acquisition as well as other typical M&A details. The client was impressed with the work and the quality of candidates presented and started discussions with several of the identified companies.
